Snappas is a small take away fish and chippery in Werribee’s main street that have a great selection of gluten free fish and chips, and even gluten free potato cakes and crumbed pinapple fritters. They also have take home freezer packs of fish fillets, prawns, calamari rings, potato cakes and more. Everthing is cooked to order so is really fresh and good quality.
In honour of the unofficial start of summer with this hot weather I’ve started a page dedicated to gluten free fish and chips in Melbourne – check it out here – and please let me know if you have any more to add to this list!

This is a good place for us to stop off at because we often go to Geelong. It will be nice to try some of the old greazy stuff again. I miss dim sims …sounds lame …but it’s been 10 years since I’ve had one….I wish someone would come up with gluten free ones. There’s a place in Laverton that has a chinese Gluten Free Menu…..called So n Sos…..they try to do GF dimmies but they are ……….not yet perfected…they are just hard pork balls. So n Sos takeaway is worth an order or two for the hungry coeliac craving chinese.
Does anyone know of any places we can get Italian Gelato in a cup……without the contamination of cone crumbs.? Another summer item for my wish list.
I am a huge fan of your site and I check it regularly. Keep up the great work!
thanks!
