Los Amates, Fitzroy

Los Amates is a very cute, cosy, Mexican restaurant on Johnston St, Fitzroy. It claims it’s one of the only places in Melbourne that is “authentic Mexican” – having not been to Mexico I can’t verify whether this is correct, but it’s certainly got good food…

Another great thing about this place is about 90% of the menu is gluten free, so you will be spoiled for choice for entrees, mains and desserts. Tacos, share plates, enchiladas, seafood…all with big serves so make sure you’re hungry!
