La Camera, Melbourne
La Camera is an Italian restaurant in Southbank, Melbourne with a nice view over the Yarra. They have a great range of gluten free risottos, some mains (meat dishes), and also do gluten free breakfast options.
The risottos were very very nice, full of flavour and generous servings. Service was good, staff friendly, good value…only thing I could fault was the size of many of the tables – they were so crowded once you had 4 people at them.
As this is right in the middle of Southbank they get pretty busy on weekends so best to book. For more info see their website.

La Camera is one of my favourite breakfast spots – Great GF Bread and cheap coffees!
I ate at La Camera with my husband and friends last night and spent the rest of the night violently ill. I called the restaurant today to let them know and I really think they couldn’t have cared less. They confirmed that what I had eaten, chicken, spinach and mushroom risotto, was gluten free … although I know it wasn’t. On another note service was lacking … had to ask twice for water before we received it and that happened twice. Funny how the drinks that you are paying for arrive without asking again!
