An Italian restaurant in a great location, in the middle of Lygon St’s many many Italian restaurants…with one main difference – it has gluten free pasta. But not just gluten free pasta, also gluten free gnocci. Meat dishes and salads are also available, and a small selection of deserts. The atmosphere is casual and staff are friendly.
When my friends an I went I think they were trying to close up early so our attempt at ordering desert didn’t really work – we asked for the desert menu and received the bill! So we got the hint and went to Cafe Italia, around the corner for desert.

I have been to this restaurant twice now. Once for dinner and once for lunch. I absolutly adore it. The food is traditional italian and the gnocci is by far the best i have has since being diagnosed. There lunch specials (when I went $17 for pasta and a glass or wine) really seals the deals. I found the service to be excellent.
